Xueying's Promos ended on friday :D.

&she accompanied me to the Wembley, the gift shop to do some interviewing and briefing about the work.
Opps. I asked Xuey to go to Oceans Tower and she was early, earlier than me. I thought Hitachi Tower is in the Oceans tower so i asked her to go in the Oceans Tower and look for the Hitachi Tower. :X Wrong ! Hitachi Tower is beside the Oceans Tower. Ha ha. And she went missing in that tower. Sorry (: I rescued her out. Ha ha.

But i doubt i will get the job cause the boss, Kenneth, think its spelt this way, er said that I can only work for around 16 days. So it isn't a very smart decision. But the interviewing thing was fun and funny. Ha ha. It wasn't so much of an interview.
Part of the "interview" was to con a male and a female into buying a pink colour, with fluffy dogs cartoons, pencil-case lookalike item.
...
And I lied about the casing, saying it's really nice and all. I dun like pink. Ha ha. But I was pretty fine with the promotion of the item.
BUT the item is pretty good-looking, ha ha, only that it's in pink. &i think it's for secondary school peeeps. So promotion is all about lying. It's tough for me since I am such an honest sort. Ha ha.
Kenneth is so humorous.
Done with the job interview and briefing. I will be notified on Monday, lastest Wed.
We went to eat. She ate fish ball noodles and i ate minced noodles. I shouldn't go into the details. Ha. We went to Merlion Place. See the Merlion behind us? Bet you can't. Ha.
Coincidentally, there was some rocking band performing beside the Esplanade. Saw Elvis Presley !!!!!!!!!
Ha ha. I mean someone imitating Elvis Presley.
Sat on the grass to wait for 167 bus to come. Ha ha! The bus almost went pass us and we quickly ran to the bus. Its so difficult to picture what am i saying unless you check it out yourself.

Im back from bangkok. :(

Too bad we fell into the unlucky 8% luh.


Our first time using the Jetstar airline. Horrendous is the word. Reluctantly woke up at nine plus, caught the taxi, arrived at the airport at ten plus. The line to er, i check in the ticket [?] was surprisingly long. Fishy. Now then i realise it was weird for the queue to be so long unlike the SQs or TGs. So we queued.

" ..flight will be pushed to 4 plus [? i forgot].." the airport crew announced.
Yeah, spare time like hell. Waited and waited for 1,2,3,4, more than 5 innocent hours lost !

Cows. I kept surfing the free internet there thought. Ha ha. Yawns. Strolled aimlessly in boarding area, got free massage thanks to the Osim Big Foot, lied on some really comfortable chairs? &got frightened by the cockroach right beside my bag !






WTH.


Look at this pic ! i risked my life taking it, ha ha. It's so freaky gross to have such a manic beast to be in the airport ! Especially when it happens to stroll idly around the airport "campus" and scares the hell out of anyone in it's way. Yeks. &it looks like some rare or extinct species, like it's colour's fading, probably draining colour out of its body. ZOOM IN and look for the Yucks. Gross Out !

But there's nothing we can do other than running away from it's presence. Ha ha. Can't possibly kill it with our hands or watvever we were armed with, which in that case was nothing.
Am i blogging too much about something that is menace to many of us be so tiny and most importantly, not even having a brainy brain. Ha ha. Fine.

Then again, its about time we board the plane. Dismayed yet again cause there was another delay due to the traffic congestion the plane experienced in Changi Airport. Whatever it means, seems like their management team didn't have much forecast in such unforeseen circumstances. Hungry, tired, seriously bored, overwhelmed by frustration. The boarding time was again pushed back to an even more later time like seven plus? Hell. It's a total of 1,2,3,4.. 9 precious hours of each of the passengers' time wasted, blankly waiting for the seemingly never arriving vehicle.

There was a total of 30 rows [if i rmbed correctly], with 6 persons per row, and:

Adds up to: Hours wasted: 30 x 6= 180 hours wasted !

Cause of whose fault? Oh, that the vehicle was sent to some maintainance thing cause there was some faults with this vehicle. Or was it the heavy traffic to blame? Dinner was offered to us without any charges, perhaps to mend their wrongdoings. Ha ha. Futile. Bee bee bee.

Whatever. Dad said that some people earned pennies through claiming money from the airlines due to the delay in flight, only if they bought the insurance. Sadly, we didn't. I wonder how much can they claim.

AHH. Good news! Xueying can go out with me cause her exmas just ended today! :D

Adding on, the trip to thai was stompy. Ha ha, is that the right word? The trip was very unstable and the plane's kinda shaky as i made a bd card for Dad while Mum and Sis were both sound asleep. :( i was very tired too but i was wearing contacts and i didn't bring my casing with me, my eyes were running dry so i aren't really supposed to sleep. Long sentence ha ha.



Alas, we arrived safely at thailand and met Dad (:



Tired, didn't take any photos there other than the hotel. Boo.

Is a title so impt? Yiqi: sounds familiar eh. Ha ha. It's so boring these days since I've been cooping myself at home. It's my 1 and a half month holiday. This is my "dec holidays"! I should look for jobs tomorrow ! :(

Shout out to sis and mb : HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Yesterday (:
Mb's bd celebration ytd was very dirty. We went to East Coast Park at night and we couldn't see anyone on the beach. Don, meibin, xiaoting were present at the start. OH ! &Don made me tap in and out of the station because i dunnoe which staircase you are at &there are so many staircases at the Dhoby Gaut station. !! It was so funny and i wanna laugh my A off.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Are we dumb or wat?

Then we sat down on the moisty sand :O. We saw a couple sitting standing right in front of the sea and the image looks really familiar.. Ha ha! Like the legendary titanic pose. Woo. Only that the lady missed holding up her hands T-shaped image. Ha ha but that was enough to make us laugh our guts off. Ha ha.

&you can hear someone beside me constantly murmuring "Hao lang man oh, hao lang man oh," for umpteen times. Ha ha ha ha. Don don don.

We tried to entertain mb by throwing xt into to water. Ha ha ha. No, i din do it.

Surprise ! Her friends from sec told her they couldn't make it but they turned up! It was part of the plan.

And we played some games like throwing the CHOC cake on mb's face. It was so disgusting &its CHOC cake ! My Favourite?! Ha ha, which wasn't the point. Mb said when she looked at me after she got smashed on her face, i had this "disgusted" word written on my face. :O

As long as she's happy, due to the company. I think its her way of celebrating her bd like wat her friends mentioned.

We headed home and Don discovered that he lost his iPod :O. Mb and xt went back to the beach to look for it and i also headed for my last bus home. Sad, probably lost his iPod when Xinmin (is it?) passed him his bag. As Xinmin(is it is it?) mentioned that she felt something falling off his bag at that time. But there wasn't anything left behind when she looked around.

:( In the end, xt and mb also can't find his iPod. Don be sad Don (:

Worried for you. But theres really nothing wrong&dun doubt yourself now alright? Its just stress getting up on you. Just take a step backwards and look. You've came so far, you've made it to the top too. Its your time to perform again. Its human nature for us to aim to keep improving along our learning journey, thats because you've got an aim. Put your aim aside and see if you've tried your best in the stuff that you've done. If its the best that you can give, feel happy and maybe try to learn from your friends.

I am sure that after all that revision you have, you'll score well. We all set standards for ourselves. Sometimes the standards i set for myself also make me suffocate. I do cry too. Crying can help you relieve some stress. With all the concepts; understanding; guidance from your teachers; tutors are just extras. Your teachers are most willing to help you solve the questions(:

Believe in yourself that you can do it cause i do believe in you (:

Let’s talk about work shall we. Yes, totally.


Introducing:
1. A Jap rest
2. A Jap chef--with the highest position, within the premises of the restaurant only --“F”
3. Someone with the surname starting with "L"
4. A head waitress lets name her "C"
5. A dishwasher, nice soul --"D"
6. Fellow workers

Yesterday was sat, was my first day at this Jap restaurant at taka. Being a greenhorn in waitress-ing, it was pleasant, stimulating and whatever, for the first 3 hours.

(:

Ha ha. On my first day, which was yesterday, I wore my killer heels. It was such a big mistake. The shoe’s toe part was severely sharp&my toes were the ones withstanding my entire body weight. I shouldn’t have worn them but I don’t have any other black, covered up shoes that is suitable for waitress-ing.

La la la

At the start, the people there were friendly and all that bla bla bla. Yea. They have this weird accent of theirs that I dunnoe is it Japanese or rather Malaysian accent. Its the latter. i do not have any prejudice against them, oh well.

Just that they usually communicate using their own language and I wouldn’t know what the hell are they talking about. though its better not to know, sometimes.

Okay. First day was: Yada Yada, just another typical tired day

Second day was the climax.

I stepped into the restaurant at 11:4o+am. I was on time :O. Boring, C and L are talking alien language. Business wasn’t desirable yesterday I suppose, there weren’t much customers the previous day.

Good luck today, I told myself.

12:00pm :O time for business.

L: L is the person ho hired me. Supposedly the best, most humane person in the entire restaurant. I think he’s the dining room manager, maitre d’Hotel.
Also the person responsible for providing services for the entire dining room. Is it still appropriate since it’s not a hotel? He is nice, approachable, no airs. I suppose.

C: The head waitress, chef de salle is it? Thanks to FNB, ha ha. The one who was responsible to teach me how to do stuff, since they hired someone who’s inexperienced [me], which she barely managed to do so. Thanks to D, the dish washer who taught me how to do stuff C told me to complete. She’s harsh. Tried to be nice. But failed terribly. Someone whose constantly checking me out, seeing if I was shriving. Thanks!

D: D ! The dish washer. The nice soul ! He’s an Indian I suppose&hes really helpful and cares to offer me some help when I seem to be in a difficult situation. E.g. doing something I am unfamiliar with, he will teach me because C never taught me how to do things she asked me to do. Thank you D ! Really. He changed my perception of certain groups of people (:

Coincidentally, these three characters add up to L-C-D.

Ha ha.

Okay, second day right. Thing is there weren’t much customers, and on the first day, I wasn’t even asked to serve any of the dishes.

I remember L mentioned on the first day that my job was to refill the drinks, clear the plates, clean the tables and place the table setting. Did you even mention about the taking out of dishes? The whole of first day, the entire day, I never ever took out any dish from the kitchen and you and C didn’t even spurt anything to correct me or whatever.

&now, L called for a chat with me and another guy, I forgot his name.

He clearly stated our duties as part timers of the restaurant, which was poorly defined on my first day of work. Alright, it’s okay that you are telling me now. Okay. Next, you implied that I was shriving because you full-timers are constantly helping us, part timers, to serve the dishes. Well well well.

?
I questioned him.
“But you didn’t mention that we had to do this on my first day,”

How was I to know? Since you guys didn’t even tell me? Give me a slightest hint?
Hello? And now, you and C decided to accuse me of shriving. Surely he didn’t place the words like “You are shriving”.
It was in nicer terms indirectly stating that “I am shriving”.
It’s alright if he’s telling me to do also serve the dishes, I would willingly do it. Thing is you didn’t tell me and you are accusing me of what I didn’t do because you didn’t instruct me to get it done.
Next, he mentioned that I was reluctant to move around? Where was him when I was busy clearing the dishes and no one helped me. And the others were like gazing. Thanks.

He was nice enough to mention that C did possibly a bad job in coaching me. I nodded, smiled stupidly, I wanted to cry already.

Thanks for the speech, thanks for everything. Thanks for the tears. I didn’t want to cry in front of these assholes but I failed. I cried even more when D and the others asked me not to cry. C didn’t even utter a bit and L was nice to ask me not to cry. I felt like I cant work anymore, as I cant control myself. L questioned if I could still work from 6-10pm and I smiled and shook my head.

Smiling and tearing.

As L mentioned, “Just an experience”. Yes, an enriching one.

I suggest hat they should really just employ people with the experience.

Rather than employing those who don’t. Aware that the worker they employed isn’t experienced, yet not differentiating the tasks for them clearly. not teaching them how to do things and demand them to do it by some holy method they thought the worker was blessed with. Then, giving the worker the fugly face of yours, screaming “you are stupid” cause they dunnoe how to do things. Or being so pretentious, while bad mouthing about the worker. ¬ wanting to coach the worker though it was you guys who, in the first place accepted the inexperienced worker. In other terms, you are willing to teach the worker, which you guys do not.

My instincts were right about you C. Happy working !

Sorry, my mum told me not to lie.

&by the way, L hasn’t told me when to serve the fruits. And he will never the answer me. Not that I wanna know.

&I didn’t quit cause the cause of the heavy workload. The problem lies in you guys. In addition to the minute pay, not forgetting this agonizing experience.

Why do I have to put up with all the S you guys give me?

&better pay me my cheque.
