night ushering for the addidas night marathon with xt and mb decades ago : )

xt and i were at the samw station

it was my first time doing such a job.

and it was so tiring cause the race starts at 12am is it? it starts at night and the participants will run till 7 plus teh following morning. so we are not suppose to sleep.

at the start, we were all energetic and standing tall, cheering the runners

but towards the end, its like no ones really bothering you anyway. would you run any faster if a stranger says "go on go on"? maybe run away from this person, ha ha. and xt and i got diff things to say, at the start, xt was suppose to say "careful of the puddle of water" and me "you can do it (ha ha, clichec cliche). later, we switched. and we were very uncreative as we said this to all the runners. yap, a bystander told me we should have taped down our "speeches" and then press play when a runner comes along. ha ha, i agreeeeeee

ha ha, but towards the ending, i really cant tolerate it and i sat down while pple ran past. xt was actually rather persistent on standing. and after lesser than 5 mins, she sat. ha ha

and it was a long plus scary walk to our station. we survived anyway!

oh ya, and i saw my primary scl mate elgin

i was amazed that you could still recognise me. ha ha, like he was a runner and then i was cheering for the runners and he ran past. we stared at each other and then realised that we knew each other.

and we helloed!

ha ha, he still looks the same.
